Nëng-dêfè Bî (/ˈsaθo/ /ˈdɘfè/ [civilized] [mine (location)]) is a subtropical Large Town located in the Têqayëg̈ê Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Nëng-dêfè Bî is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Nëng-dêfè Bî was founded by Garthesí Zèqth, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Nëng-dêfè Bî has a yearly average temperature of 25°C (77°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 29°C (84°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 22°C (71°F). Nëng-dêfè Bî receives an average of 224 cm/y (88 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Nëng-dêfè Bî covers an area of nearly 6 km² (2 mi²), and an average elevation of 1906 m (6253 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Nëng-dêfè Bî was founded durring the early 16th century in spring of the year 1504, by Garthesí Zèqth. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Nëng-dêfè Bî was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Nëng-dêfè Bî is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Nëng-dêfè Bî is buildings are arranged arround a single crampt cobblestone mainstreet with many smaller streets branching off of it which gives the town a over all rectangular shape, albit one warped and twisted by the nature of the curves of the main road. The town is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. Nëng-dêfè Bî's peasent-grade are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

Nëng-dêfè Bî has a very calm atmosphere. People can be seen relaxing, scocilizing, and going about all manner of business other than the daily grind. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Nëng-dêfè Bî's natural decorations nor waterways.

Nëng-dêfè Bî has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Nëng-dêfè Bî has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Nëng-dêfè Bî is home to a distinct subculture, who are either the majority here or have the dominant positions in the community. Architecture, local laws, and social customs are all tuned to suit them, and they may not be particularly forgiving or friendly to the major culture of the region. Communities that are not outright independent usually make an arm's-length submission to a local lord.

Nëng-dêfè Bî's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known primarily for its use of abstraction and simplicity. Clean lines, right angles, and primary colors characterized this aesthetic and art movement expressed via architecture and paintings.
